Koinonia

Jesus, the Living Bread
John 6:51, 54-57

I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.”
The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?Jesus said to them, “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him. Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will have life because of me.

Shedding the Light

The Holy Eucharist is the summit of all prayers. We come together as one people of God in a special celebration of faith, love and generosity.

In the history, the early Christians gathered together in order to worship and thank God despite of the different sufferings & persecutions they have experienced from the hands of their persecutor.
They received the boldness of faith in order to transcend beyond the injustices and tribulations of life. They never fail to worship God. They never fail to establish a community of believers.
That communion and fellowship was the moment of Koinonia.

In the Scripture, it was clearly said that Jesus is the Living Bread, the Eucharistic Lord of all. He is the satisfaction of man's body and soul. He is the source of eternal love, security, hope and happiness. All things originates in Him, all came into being and life because of Him.

Jesus is ever present in the Eucharistic celebration. He is the perfect gift or offering who ransomed us from the slavery of sin. He is the only begotten Son of the Heavenly Father who continuously bless and protect us. He allowed himself to experience suffering and death in order to remind us that in every life's challenges, we can continue and overcome it. He gave His life for us in order to make us a new creation, a new created being who received the greatest gift of all - God's unconditional love.

The Holy Eucharist is the perfect moment of God & Man intimate fellowship. In this celebration, both sinners and saints come to enjoy the sacred feast of gladness and generosity.
