Synthesis of the First and Second Zones of Truth and Vitality

Man is created full of giftedness and surprises. He is endowed of rational capacity that helps him to find his ultimate quest/purpose of existence. Part of this quest is to know his importance and to go deeper in the level of mystery on how he came into being and life. Man’s giftedness draw him to journey of finding the truths from all the things around him which are evident and sensible. Man’s prior truth is that whatever can be seen, touched, felt, heard, and smelled considered as his basis of qualifying it as true and genuine. But to the extent of digging deeper to its origin and creator especially in the side of spiritual.  Man find it hard to reconcile the connection and even the relationship of the visible world to the invisible one. Man need some investigation in order to satisfy his ultimate quest of unlocking the truth.
According to Fr. William Malley, SJ. , he presented the most helpful book about the Four Zones of Truth and Vitality. For him the first two zones speaks about science and arts. It is presented in the book, Science is Man’s tool of unlocking the basic mystery of life through the different scholarly research and field studies which can solve the basic problems of it. For whatever can be perceived and of with our senses, man can able to identify and find answer of it so long it is quantifiable, measurable and product oriented. In the first zone, man must be able to go beyond the physical realms in order to reach to the second zone – the Arts. For Malley, the second zone serves as one way for human person to achieve his potentials to become fully human. It opens up to the world the different opportunities of expressing their thoughts, ideas, visions and dreams through artistic forms of media. The task of man is to marry both the first and second zone in order to widen the horizons of truths and life.  The book said, the unity and diversity between the dynamism of truth and life on the level of science and arts must be intertwined using the special ingredient of Christian Faith Experience in which we can finally say that “the end of science is now the beginning of allowing God to speak to us in an artistic way of presentation or even communication”.

Difficult as it may be to marry the two zones, for man still need to consider the remaining two zones, Philosophy and Theology. These two higher zones of truth and vitality can greatly help man to reconcile and find his ultimate purpose of existence. The main task is that, man must always carry in his whole being the reality that He is not a being in itself. He is not a being that exist in itself and he is not a being that creates the self. It is man’s special quest to find his best – purpose in accordance to the plans/will of his ultimate creator – God.

Jesus, the Living Bread John 6:51, 54-57 I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.” The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?Jesus said to them, “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him. Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will have life because of me.  Shedding the Light The Holy Eucharist is the summit of all prayers. Alethialogy of the Human Person

In the book of Fr. William Malley, SJ, the term Alethialogy is derived from two Greek words: Aletheia (truth) and logia (study of) which means in simpler terms as the study of truth. In man’s journey towards seeking the truth, he must use his giftedness such as the rationality in order to unveil the truth that he is looking for. But using his rationality can never be enough, man must be able to transcend his level of reasoning into the level of genuine truth – the truth of all the truths. Then, how can man reach to the truth of all the truths? At this point, man is no longer challenge in finding the answer into the physical realms but he needs to go beyond the material world by reaching the uncreated world. This is the world in which man can only attain through spiritualization. Man must be able to communicate to his ultimate maker – the Creator of heavens and of earth. This must be God as what St Thomas Aquinas would try to elaborate on his book: Proofs of God’s Existence. In the b

Divine Mercy Sunday

Have you ever thought about how much God loves us?   The love of God for us is beyond our imagination. His love is transformative, changing His beloved into a new creation. His greatest love was bestowed upon us by sending His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross and save us from sin, despite our unworthiness. God chose to love us unconditionally, taking a risk, knowing that we may or may not reciprocate the love He offers us. Today, the entire Catholic Church celebrates Divine Mercy Sunday, remembering how Jesus' love saved us and washed away our sins through the water and blood of His love for us. How much do you love Jesus? Are you willing to choose and follow Him? Deus Caritas est

“Nothing is more practical than finding God, that is, than falling in a love in a quite absolute, final way. What you are in love with, what seizes your imagination will affect everything. It will decide what will get you out of bed in the mornings, what you will do with your evenings, how you spend your weekends, what you read, who you know, what breaks your heart, and what amazes you with joy and gratitude. Fall in love, stay in love, and it will decide everything.” -Pedro Arrupe, SJ 27th Superior General of the Society of Jesus

God is Real

Summary of the Book:  A GOD THAT COULD BE REAL- SPIRITUALITY, SCIENCE, AND THE FUTURE OF OUR PLANET Most of us still believe of the Biblical perspective of the world. We people commonly rely on the idea of God by a traditional manner, allowing ourselves to much immerse to what the teachings of the Church inculcates us, separating the scientific lens of seeing the world and its origin and then conclude that God is the sole creator of all that exists in this vast universe. Nancy Ellen Abrams started her point to the prevalent issue concerning women in the society. How the world would discredit and treated women lesser than men. Without recognizing the major contributions of women in the development of the societal dynamism. This led Nancy to focus on the continuous inquiry of knowing the most popular issue of all times – the Existence of God and how the universe came into reality. For Nancy, 30 years ago, she believes that God was indeed a fiction. Her personal hold clings o
